John Sanderson Wells

John Sanderson Wells was a painter of genre subjects, which were mainly paintings of interiors scenes with figures in 18th Century costume. In addition, the artist also painted coaching and hunting scenes.

Wells exhibited at the Royal Academy between 1895 and 1914. He also exhibited at Suffolk Street, the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists and at various other venues.
