Joseph Clark
Biography
Joseph Clark was a painter of domestic genre of a tender and affecting nature, usually of children and occasionally of biblical subjects. He studied at J.M. Leigh’s and exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1857 until 1904.
Clark received a medal and award at Philadelphia in 1876 sending there his works titled “Sick Child” and “The Bird’s Nest”. Among his more important paintings are “The Wanderer Restored” 1861 and “Early Promise”.
