John Hayes
Biography
John Hayes was an animal painter who flourished during the latter part of the nineteenth century. The artist painted mainly dogs and puppies but occasionally included a cat or kitten in his works. These animals were usually in a setting where they were behaving mischievously or with playful malice. John Hayes exhibited at various venues throughout the country and became a popular and well sought after artist.
