John Arnold Alfred Wheeler
Biography
John Arnold Wheeler’s chosen subject matter was, more often than not, horses and dogs. His speciality was horse racing scenes and equestrian portraits. He was a member of the Wheeler family who worked in Bath and was doubtless the Wheeler who exhibited in London in 1875. He is none the less the most readily identified of the Wheeler dynasty to the extent that he espoused a particular set of themes.
