Hugo Kauffman
Biography
Hugo Kaufmann was a sculptor and painter who was born in Schotten on 29 June 1868 and who died on 14 May 1919 in Munich. He studied art at the Hanau Academy, the Städelsches Kuntsinstitut in Frankfurt am Mein and with von Ruemann at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Munich. Kaufmann then settled in Berlin. He exhibited at the Paris Exposition Universelle in 1900 and won a medal in Munich in 1897
