Biography
George Turner was a landscape painter, born in Cromford, Derbyshire. He worked in Birmingham, Barrow-on-Trent and Indringehay, Derbyshire.
The artist’s lush, panoramic landscapes are now very popular with collectors world-wide.
There is an unmistakable English quality about the landscapes of George Turner. He possessed the ability to lead the eye into the canvas, placing foreground material and figures in a manner which gives the work depth and dimension.
Throughout his career Turner showed a true progression in style which has given him a reputation of considerable merit.
