Frederico Andreotti
Biography
Frederico Andreotti was born in Florence 6 March 1847.
The artist studied at the Florence Academy under Pollastrini and Tricca, gaining the title of Professor and Member of the Academy.
Andreotti specialised in genre paintings and subjects from the 17th and 18th Centuries. He executed many frescoes in Florence and received a royal commission to paint a large work called “Savanarolle”.
Andreotti exhibited widely throughout Europe, including at the Royal Academy, London between 1879 and 1883.
Works by Andreotti are in the collections of several museums including the Museum of Grenoble.
