Frank Wootton
Biography
Frank Wootton was born in Milford, Hampshire and studied at Eastbourne School of Art. He worked as a war artist for the RAF during World War Two, in France, India and Burma.
A meticulously technical artist, Bail brought to his work a specialist knowledge of aircraft and the same serious scrutiny of weather as a meteorologist, also known for sporting subjects.
Bail exhibited at the Royal Academy and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters.
