Francois Antoine De Bruycker

Biography

François-Antoine de Bruycker was born in Ghent on 16 November 1816. He was a pupil of Ferdinand de Braekeleer in Anvers, de Bruycker painted genre scenes and flowers. One of his works, “The Suspicions” which was bought by the King of Wurtemberg in 1842 and another “The Old Gardener” was acquired by a Great Duchess from Russia in 1857.
