Darren Baker
Biography
Darren, a graduate of Bradford Art College, is one of the countrys leading painters within the classical realism genre. After graduation he has striven to perfect his technique and vision inspired by the Old masters and also contemporary realist painters.
Darren’s talent was recognised early after leaving college and he was selected for a unique show of UK artists in New York (2000). In the same year he was appointed official artist of The Professional Footballer’s Association.
He has received numerous awards including best artist at The Fine Art Trade guilds ceremony in London and The Garrick Prize, Christies, London.
Darren has received commissions from many bluechip galleries, companies and leading personalities. He has exhibited widely throughout North America, Japan, Europe and the UK. Haynes Fine Art are planning regular shows and his new works are expected, as with his previous exhibitions, to be eagerly anticipated both here in the UK and at their international art fairs. Darren’s paintings hang in private and public collections, including Downing St and St James Palace, at home and abroad.
