Biography

Christian Heuser was born in Millingen in 1862. He was a well-regarded genre and portrait painter.

It is for his detailed character studies of Bavarian men that he won most acclaim. These highly finished paintings of local individuals typify a genre of art associated with Germany at this time.

Heuser’s work is as much admired today, as it was when it was painted.
