Charles Greville Morris
Biography
Charles Greville Morris was a Manchester landscape painter, who was born in Lancashire in 1861.
Morris studied in Paris under M. M. Bollinger, Collin and Courtois.
The artist exhibited from 1886 to 1894 at the Royal Academy and elsewhere - all of the works were landscapes. Titles include: “Winter in Finistere” 1887, “Thistledown” 1889 and
“Evening, Cornwall” 1890.
He lived in St. Ives after 1892.
One of the artist’s paintings titled “Marshland” is in the City Art Gallery, Manchester.
