Alfred Montague
Biography
Alfred Montague was a painter of landscapes, town views and of coastal scenes. He exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1836 to 1870, the British Institution and Suffolk Street (one hundred and fifty-six works) and elsewhere.
He painted landscapes and coastal scenes in England, Holland and France.
Montague’s town views in northern France and Belgium are similar to those of Henri Schafer.
