British fl. 1884 – c. 1919 Philip Eustace Stretton was painter of animals and sporting subjects. He exhibited from 1884 at the Royal Academy, Royal Society of British Artists and several other London venues. He was a member of the Chelsea Arts Club in 1891. In 1901 he is recorded as living in Wandsworth and he seems to have been active until at least 1914. Titles of his works at the Royal Academy included “Disturbed” 1884, “The Apple of Discord” 1889 and “The Pet of the Kennel” 1901.
