French 19th Century Rongier was a painter of genre and portraits born in Macon in the 19th Century. She was a pupil of Harpignes, of Senart and Luminais. She debuted at the Salon in 1869 and was a member of the society of French artists from 1883. Rongier received an honourable mention in 1884 and in 1900 at the Universal exposition and a third class medal in 1887. The museum at Clamecy and also at Rouen hold paintings by the artist.
